Last week, Year 1 went on their first school trip to the library.  As part of their spring topic, ‘Where did and do the wheels on the bus go’, year 1 are learning about their local community, where they live and what makes it special.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their bus ride to Blackfen Library and were excited to sit on the top deck. 

During the journey, they saw road signs, a roundabout, traffic lights, street signs and different types of vehicles. 

In the library, the children behaved impeccably, they shared books with each other and listened intently to their teachers when being read a story. 

Back in school, we discussed, drew and wrote about the exciting things in our community and what we had seen whilst on our trip. We can’t wait for the next one!
